This model is designed for the patient. It has a large seat pad and back rest and is fitted with secure arms. The arms are shortened and shaped downwards to enable the chair to be pushed under a table, such as a slit lamp, without the patient’s hands or arms being trapped under the table.The chair can be lowered to enable the patient to be seated easily and safely, then once the patient is safely seated, the clinician can raise the patient to the required position without the risk of personal injury. The patient can then be lowered to enable a safe exit.

This chair has proved very popular with Eye Clinics for use with the slit lamp. However it has also been used in other clinical departments where the patient needs to be raised and lowered by a clinician.
